The Mechatronics program teaches students a wide variety of electromechanical principles and practices. Safety, hand tools, and digital multi-meter use are demonstrated and practiced. Students advance learning all aspects of electrical and electronic circuitry supplies. Coursework includes; semiconductor devices, AC/DC motors and motor control, pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, PLCs, and mechanisms. Students are instructed in preventative maintenance schedules, and proper industrial machine maintenance procedures are practiced. Students can receive up to 1500 hours towards a metal trade or electrical apprenticeship upon graduation and employer acceptance.
