The opportunities in the “Green Industry” are far and wide. The Landscape Design, Installation, and Equipment program teaches the care and maintenance of outdoor space; the design and installation of hardscapes; and the operation, repair, and maintenance of related power equipment. Program topics include drainage and ground preparation, landscape construction (decks, gazebos, fencing), power equipment operator training, plant and tree identification, and characteristics, turfgrass management (weed and pest management), sustainable horticulture (integrated pest management), arboriculture and pruning, small engine repair and maintenance, and more.
