March 2024 Students of the Month
9th grade Student of the Month
9th– Justin Velazquez:
Justin is a kind, respectful student, who works diligently every day. Justin has an excellent work ethic and a positive attitude. It can be difficult at times in a shop of predominantly female students, however Justin holds his own and puts his eagerness to learn first. Justin has often been found helping peers and is flexible and willing to work with everyone. Justin is a great addition to health tech.

10th Grade Student of the Month
10th– Celisha Midgette (2 nominations)
Celisha is a wonderful student. She works very hard in class, asks inquisitive, thoughtful questions. CeCe is truly a natural in the healthcare field, she is empathetic and has an excellent rapport with her peers that I see transitioning to her future patients. I often find her very subtly taking over a leadership role, for example if the group is trying to figure something out, CeCe will take the reins and guide the rest in a progressive way. Many of her peers look to her as a mentor or sounding board. I am so beyond proud of her. Celisha attended Skills USA last week and even though she is a sophomore and the nursing assistant competition is geared for 11th and 12th graders, she placed as a finalist in the top 5. Celisha has excellent hands on clinical skills. CeCe is a kind soul and is truly a joy to have in shop.
-Ms. Hammond
Celisha is a great student who tried her best in class. She asks questions when content is difficult or needs clarification, along with partaking in group discussions when needed. Celisha is willing to help explain difficult concepts to her classmates if she understands what is being taught along with ensuring that her work is complete and turned in. When doing labs, I see her taking on a leadership role keeping her table on track to completing the lab. She completed in Skills USA as a sophomore against upperclassman and was in the top 5 for the final.
-Ms. Warner

-Ms. Macri
12th Grade Student of the Month
12th– David Dingwell:
David has improved academically in English class, increased his engagement, and always has a positive attitude when in class. He is a good role model for his peers.
