Dear Parent/Guardian,
I hope you are enjoying the summer. We’re working hard to get the school ready, and looking forward to a great school year!
Our school calendar can be found on our website, https://goodwin.cttech.org/events. This calendar will be continually updated. Additionally, you can access our school website to find out about the latest events, general school schedules, and activities. I have also included some information below in order to ensure a smooth start of the year.
First Day of School – Grades 9-11: The first day of school is Friday, August 28, 2026, for students in grades 9-11 and senior mentors. We will review general school information and class schedules. Freshmen will start in the gym with Orientation and activities occurring throughout the day. Freshmen will start the year in Academics (A cycle). Sophomores and Juniors will report to their CTE programs (shops). The senior class will begin school on August 31st. Seniors should not report to school on Friday, except for Senior Mentors.
Included with this message is the E.C. Goodwin Technical High School/Student Parent Handbook Addendum. You will find information and expectations specific to Goodwin Tech. Please be certain to review the following:
