On Thursday, May 20, 2021, E.C. Goodwin Technical High School in New Britain hosted over 50 exhibitors in the Carpentry, Masonry, Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing trades at a Construction Career Fair. The event, coordinated by the Minority Construction Council (MCC) and sponsored by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CT DOT), the City of Hartford, ABC Connecticut, Associated General Contractors of CT (AGC CT), and the Connecticut Construction Industries Association (CCIA), showcased careers in the construction trade that are available around the state for the students in attendance from E.C. Goodwin as well as students from A.I. Prince Technical High School in Hartford.

The Minority Construction Council (@MCCforCT) also awarded scholarships at the event to two students from E.C. Goodwin in the Carpentry trade, Tabetha Trammel and Marangelis Gonzalez
